The Travel Rule is a global AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing) initiative recommended by FATF (Financial Action Task Force). For the purpose of transparency and necessary risk assessment, including sanction screening, VASP (Virtual Asset Service Providers) are required to collect and share the required originator (sender) and beneficiary (receiver) information upon digital asset transfer.
